Syed Akhtar Ali Shah is a dynamic professional banker having overall 29 years of banking experience including the experience of Central Bank, Foreign Bank and Local Commercial Banks. He holds degrees in Masters of Business Administration (Finance) – University of Peshawar, Islamic Banking Certificate from NIBAF, Islamabad and DAIBP-I from Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Karachi.

He possess excellent knowledge of banking products, business development, operations, compliance and financial markets, expertise of Retail, Corporate and Wholesale banking, expertise of recovery in Default/slow moving advances cases in Corporate & SME segments, expertise of Trade Finance (Imports, Exports & ERF), Foreign Exchange and Banking Operations, strong communication & negotiation Skills with corporate, SME sector and in conversion of conventional branches into Islamic branches, management and supervision of Shariah and conventional banking team. His banking experience includes working for twenty plus years The Bank of Khyber, four years plus with NBP Aitemaad Islamic Banking, as Examination Officer in NBFIs Supervision Department (Specially Leasing Companies and Modaraba Companies) at State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi and experience of Forex & Credit Operations at the Bank of Oman, Peshawar.
